Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on November 12, 1961, within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast, and has the record of being recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci when she was six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. In 1969, she competed in the Romanian Junior Games where she placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. The first time she competed in an international event in an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she took home three gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. In her very first competition at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals, as well with one silver. In 1976, she became the first person in the world to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in the entertainment business in her teens. Her career began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling performance. Ice Capades featured performances of skating on ice performed by actors.
